About Dr. Aum Kotwal
Dr. Aum M. Kotwal is a practicing advocate with over a decade of experience before the High Court of Gujarat and the Supreme Court of India. He has represented prominent political leaders including Shri Arvind Kejriwal, AAP National Convenor (Former CM, Delhi) and Shri Sanjay Singh, Member of Rajya Sabha in various high-profile matters.
A doctorate in law, Dr. Kotwal with academic achievements to his credits, serves as the Vice-President of the Legal Cell of the Aam Aadmi Party, Gujarat. He has been at the forefront of several legal and political battles that seek to uphold the constitutional values of justice, equality, and democratic participation.
In addition to political advocacy, Dr. Kotwal has played a significant role in various Public Interest Litigations (PILs). His PIL work includes matters concerning the rights of undertrial prisoners, matters in the interest of students, public health and equitable public resource allocation. His efforts have contributed to several urgent concerns, the likes raised during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Dr. Kotwal has also represented foreign nationals in Indian Courts including the Supreme Court of India for protection of their human rights enshrined under the Constitution of India.
